Jan-Nov 2008
Fred Biven
Fred is reinstating back into our Local. He is an accomplished trombone
player. Fred studied music performance at SDSU where he performed while
there with the Jazz Ensemble, the Wind Symphony and the college
orchestra. In the past he has also performed with the San Diego Chamber
Orchestra, the La Jolla Symphony, Orquesta de Baja California, the
Westwind Brass Quintet, the Grand Pacific Band, and in various Broadway
shows and musicals. Fred studied trombone with Heather Buchman, Jim
Prindle, Bill Yeager and Emory Emrich. He also offers Finale engraving
services and consulting. While a student at SDSU, Fred was very active
as an Officer and member of the Epsilon Omicron Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha
Music Fraternity of America.
Michael Bogart
Michael is reinstating back into our Local. Michael plays trumpet,
Flugelhorn and valve trombone. Michael has been working with the famous
touring and recording band Tower of Power for a number of years. He
also performed with the Maynard Ferguson Band. Locally, Michael has
worked with the Benny Hollman Big Band.
Marc Brandl
Mark plays trumpet and Flugelhorn. He studied at Vandercook College of
Music and at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Marl has recently
performed with the Rancho Santa Fe Band, Trumpets Are Us, Denise
Williams, Peaches and Herb and at 92.5 old school concerts. He will be
working with Jack Wheaton, Dave Greeno and Peter De Luke.
Christopher Gaudi
Chris now plays Principal Oboe with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
He received his musical training at the Juilliard School of Music. In
the recent past Chris performed with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in
New York City. We welcome Chris to the San Diego Symphony.
Beezie Gerber
Beezie is reinstating his membership in Local 325. He is an
accomplished guitarist and electric bassist. He also plays theater
banjo and novelty instruments. Beezie received musical training at the
Berklee College, Musicians Institute and studied with numerous private
instructors. He has performed with the San Diego Symphony Pops
Orchestra, the Starlight Orchestra, the Mirage Big Band, and also does
solo musical engagements. Beezie takes pride in possessing a long track
record as being a reliable, professional, and versatile musician.
Tim Nunnink
Tim is a tenor saxophonist. He holds jazz performance degrees from
Berklee College of Music and San Diego State University. He strives to
maintain a high level of originality in his playing as well as his
compositions. His doubles include: soprano, alto and baritone
saxophone, flute and clarinet.
Demarre McGill
Demarre is Principal Flutist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. He
received a Bachelor in Music Degree from the Curtis Institute of Music
and a Masters Degree in Music from the Juilliard School of Music.
Demarre is a past member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. He was a
2003 winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant. We welcome Demarre to the
San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
Susan Monteiro
Susan is a violinist. She studied violin with Daniel Rains at Cleveland
State University. She has performed with the Akron Symphony, West
Virginia Symphony, Canton Symphony and the Wheeling Symphony. Susan
looks forward to performing in our Local's freelance concerts and with
our casual string trios and quartets.
Stefan Olesten
Stefan is reinstating his Local 325 membership. He is a pianist,
organist, arranger and composer. Stefan received a Bachelor in Music
Degree from the University of California in San Diego. He has recently
performed in private venues in San Diego and San Bernardino Counties.
Stefan plans to work with his former Union colleagues in the San Diego
area. He belongs to B.M.I. as a composer. To date Stefan has published
twenty-four instrumental pieces through recordings.
Scott Sutherland
Scott plays the tuba and is also an arranger/orchestrator. He received
a Bachelors of Music degree from USC and a Masters in Music from UCLA.
In the recent past he has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic,
the San Diego Symphony, and the San Diego Chamber Orchestra.
James Gordon Williams
James is an accomplished pianist. He is a graduate of the New England
Conservatory of Music and New York University. He received a Bachelor
of Music Degree from NEC and a Masters Degree in Music from NYU. James
has worked with Charli Persip, Greg Osby, Joseph Jarman, and Miles
Griffith. He has performed at the Village Vanguard, Birdland, Jazz
Standard, Lenox Lounge, Lincoln Center, and at International Jazz
Festivals in Malta, France and Switzerland. James has worked locally
with Mark Dresser and is looking forward to working with Gilbert
Castellanos, Rob Thorsen, and many more of San Diego's great musicians.
He mentions that he stands for integrity, reliability, versatility and
excellence. His credo is that humility is essential for improving one's
musicianship.
Gareth Zehngut
Gareth is a violist who recently won an audition with the San Diego
Symphony Orchestra. He received a Bachelors of Music from Juilliard.
Gareth performed extensively in the New York area in the recent
past.

Gregory Cohen
Gregory Cohen plays percussion/timpani. He studied at Boston University
and at the New England Conservatory. Greg is currently the
percussionist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
Mark Danisovszky
Mark plays accordion, piano, and the Kurzweil keyboards. Mark has
performed with the San Diego Opera, San Diego Symphony, Atlanta Symphony
and the Hilton Head Orchestra. His theatre work includes the La Jolla
Playhouse and the Berkeley Repertory. Mark recently played on Starlight
Theatre's productions of "Beauty and the Beast" and "Ragtime". He has
extensive Kurzweil programming experience. Mark has also been a studio
recording musician on both accordion and piano.
Jonathan Klokow
Jonathan plays the tenor trombone. He has worked with numerous San
Diego based bands including the Benny Hollman Orchestra. Jonathan grew
up in Racine, Wisconsin and moved to San Diego in 1998. He is also a
computer programmer/analyst at the San Diego Zoo.
Naomi Lesley
Naomi is a violinist. She holds a Masters in Music from Peabody. She
performed in Washington, D.C. with the Alexandria Symphony. She has
also performed with the Signature Theatre and with the Celebrated String
Quartet.
Scot (Wolfgang) Ryder
Scot plays guitar and piano. He studied music theory and is classically
trained on piano and violin. He performs at the Earth Church and
performs extensive solo work. Scot also performs the with his
Renaissance Band Enchanted Realms. He also teaches guitar and
piano.
Richard Steffens
Richard plays electric and upright bass. Richard is an accomplished
professional bassist with a thorough knowledge of standard and
contemporary tunes. He is a welcome addition to our Local's corp of
bass players.
Natasha Riabova
Natasha is a pianist and organist. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Music,
Diploma Cum Laude, from Gnessin State College of Music, Moscow, Russia;
also, a Masters Degree in Music from the Gnessin State Academy of Music,
also in Moscow, Russia. Additionally, Natasha earned an MM in Organ
Performance from the University of Minnesota. She is an experienced
accompanist working with professional singers, instrumentalists and
choirs. For special events such as casuals, Natasha performs light
classical music, popular songs and melodies, show tunes and jazz
improvisations. Currently she resides in La Jolla and is available to
work as an organist, and to serve as a free-lance accompanist and
coach. We welcome this highly talented and schooled pianist/organist
to our Local.
Lisa Cherry
Lisa plays French Horn and Wagner Tuba. Lisa performed on the Old
Globe's production of "Ace". She is a founding member and
contractor/orchestra manager for the Coast Symphony located in South
Orange County.
Elizabeth Meeker
Elizabeth plays trumpet. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from
Boston University and a Masters of Music Degree from Yale University.
Elizabeth has a strong background in performing salsa, Afro-Cuban and
Latin jazz.
John Reilly
John plays all of the woodwind instruments. He holds a Masters of Music
Degree in Woodwind Doubling from the University of Redlands. He served
as Principal Clarinetist then Principal Bassoon with the Reno
Philharmonic for fifteen years. John, also a member of Local 7, AFM in
Santa Ana, has performed here at the La Jolla Playhouse, the Old Globe
Theatre and at the San Diego Civic Theater on numerous traveling
national touring shows. He has participated in over seventy five films
and commercials since moving to Southern California. Also, John has
played on numerous CD's and live shows. He notes that he is also known
as the "Mouthpiece Doctor". We welcome John.

Franck Avril
Frank plays Oboe, English Horn and Oboe d'Amore. He has performed with
the New York City Opera, Seattle Symphony, Long Island Philharmonic and
Concordia. He has been a solo oboist for festivals across the United
States for seventeen years. He received a Bachelor Degree in Music from
Yale University and a M.M. from the Eastman School of Music. He has
taught at three universities/conservatories and has been the winner of
five major competitions. Franck presently works for the La Jolla Music
Society. He is looking forward to performing in the free lance field.
Eric Chace
Eric plays trap drums. He performs with the UCSD Gospel Choir and also
with the worship and praise band at Scott Memorial Church. Eric leans
towards 50's Rockabilly and Country music. He attended the Berklee
College of Music for one year in addition to receiving private drum
lesions. Eric states that he is hard working, dependable and
accountable. He strives to be professional and personable.
Ignacio "Kiko" Cbriam
Kiko is a virtuoso guitarist and also plays electric bass. He is very
well known in Mexico and South America as a first rate producer in the
electronic media field. He was with famed Mexican pop vocalist Luis
Miguel for nine years. He has also worked with Kirk Whalum and Freddie
Hubbard. Kiko's work is mainly in recording studios.
Deb Clark
Deb plays saxes, flute and keyboards. She graduated from Berklee
College of Music in 1085, Cum Laude. Deb has performed recently with
Just Friends in Kearny Mesa. She has just recorded a demo for Joyful
Jazz. Deb was featured in San Diego Magazine in 1980. She has played
professionally in San Diego, San Francisco Bay area and in Boston. She
played lead tenor with the SDSU jazz band and other area big bands. Deb
has also composed for schools and private organizations.
Lisa Hiorth-Gonzalez
Lisa plays French Horn. Lisa also performs with Just Friends in the
Kearny Mesa area. She will be playing in the La Jolla Symphony. Lisa
studied with Local 325 members John Lorge, Warren Gref and Brent Dutton.
She received a MM in Horn performance from SDSU. In the past Lisa
performed professionally in San Diego in brass quintets, woodwind
quintets, jazz ensembles, symphony, and opera orchestras.
Thai Khuong
Thai plays piano, synthesizer and he is also a vocalist. He is versatile
in many styles of music. He has worked casuals, concerts and steady
engagements in the San Diego area. Thai is a music major at UCSD. He
will be working with Local 325 member Kamau Kenyatta. Thai mentions
that he is super reliable and a responsible individual and musician.
Travis Maril
Travis plays viola and violin. He received an undergraduate degree at
USC and a Masters from Rice University. He has performed at Vail Valley
Music Festival with members of Orpheus and at the Music Society of
Lincoln Center. He will be working with the San Diego Symphony and
Chamber Orchestra.
Steve O'Connor
Steve is a superb guitarist who has rejoined Local 325. He has worked
as a composer for Warner Brothers, Universal Studios, Disney, NASA and
for the Olympics. Steve has performed with Mike Wofford, Jim Plank, Bob
Magnusson and Don Menza. He plays solo on the electric and/or acoustic
guitar. He is available for casual and pit orchestra work. In addition
to being a composer, Steve also arranges, records, produces, mixes and
also does CD art work. He won a Berklee School of Music scholarship
from Downbeat Magazine. We welcome this exceptional musician back into
our Local.
Dylan Savage
Dylan plays drums and percussion. He studied at the Interlochen Arts
Academy, New England Conservatory and at the New School University Jazz
Study Program. Dylan has worked with Gilbert Castellanos and Jack
Costanzo, and will be performing the production of Carmen at the La
Jolla Playhouse. He specializes in jazz, Cuban and Brazilian styles.
Sandra Taylor
Sandra plays piano. She just finished a six year enlistment with Navy
Band Southwest here in San Diego. Sandra studied at the
Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory of Music in Austria where she received a
Bachelors Degree in Music. She is a professional musician versatile in
many styles of music from classical to jazz and rock.
Laura Vaughan
Laura plays harp. She received a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance
from the University of Oregon. She studied with Sheila Sterling, Elena
Mashkovtseva and Adelheid Blovsky-Miller in Vienna, Austria. She has
performed with the Baja California Orchestra, the San Diego Symphony,
the San Diego Opera Orchestra and at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Mel Wright
Mel plays piano, Hammond organ and synthesizer. Mel has performed with
a group recently called the Three Drink Minimum Band. He has played
with the Mesa College and San Diego State jazz ensembles. Mel has club
experience as an organist with various local bands.

BILL CABALLERO
Bill plays trumpet and flugelhorn. He received his music degrees at BFA
Cornish School of the Arts. Bill is a versatile musician with an
emphasis on Salsa, Latin and Mexican music. He leads several ensembles
from small to large groups.
RICK EVANS
Rick plays trumpet, flute, congas and he is also a vocalist. He holds a
BA in Music Education. For the past ten years Rick has served as music
director and cruise director on cruise ships.
TRAVIS GORE
Travis plays double bass and electric bass. He is now working with the
San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Travis has performed with the Minnesota
Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, Houston Symphony, New World Symphony and
the Milwaukee Symphony. He has performed as guest principal as well as
subbed with some of these major orchestras. He trained at Rice
University and with the New World Symphony. Travis aspires to organize
chamber music programs and to perform in venues throughout the city.
KATE HATMAKER
Kate is a new violinist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. She has
performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Canton
Symphony. We welcome Kate to the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
CAMERON IZADI
Cameron is a young drummer. He performed at the Valley Center Art and
Music Festival in 2006 with Local 325 member Jeff Beck and other
professional musicians. Cameron will be working in the San Diego County
area with Jeff. He has taken lessons from popular Southern California
drummer Art Rodriguez.
ANNETTE RICO TAUPIER
Annette plays violin, ukulele and she is also a vocalist. She has a
Master's Degree in Music Performance. She has performed with the San
Diego Symphony and with her own Rico Trio. Annette performs both in the
jazz and classical idioms.
HOWIE SEGURSON
Alto Saxophonist Howie Segurson has recently relocated to the San Diego
area after many years on the Los Angeles movie sound tract, studio
recording and jazz scenes. He is a member of Local 47, A F of M.
Howie is best known for his many published Big Band compositions and
arrangements. Although preferring the alto sax, he plays all of the
saxes as well as doubling on clarinet and flute. He is equally at home
reading or improvising in a small or large band situation. We welcome
Howie.
JING YAN
Jing is a violinist. He graduated from Indiana University and the Royal
Academy of Music. Jing is working in the San Diego Symphony.

KARINA BEZKROVNAJA
Karina is a violinist. She studied at the Moscow Conservatory of Music
and also in London. Karina will be performing with the San Diego
Chamber Orchestra. She states that she loves to perform chamber music
and is interested in forming a chamber ensemble.
RIKA BRENT
Rika plays the oboe. She has performed with the Tacoma Symphony and for
Seattle Music in the recent past.
JUSTIN GRINNELL
Justin plays acoustic and electric basses. He received Bachelors and
Masters Degrees in Music from San Diego State University. Justin
studied with Gunnar Biggs and Bert Turetzky, and is currently performing
on both acoustic and electric bass for the Old Globe Theater's
production of Ace. He is involved in San Diego's free lance field and
we welcome this very fine young musician to Local 325.
CHRIS LEA
Chris plays flute, tenor and alto saxophones, baritone sax, alto flute,
piccolo, congas and keyboards. He is a classically trained flautist.
Chris holds a Bachelors in Music and a Master's in Jazz Performance from
San Diego State University. He is an excellent Top 40 vocalist, also
performs rap, and states that he is literally "right at home" playing
classical, jazz, Top 40 and Latin music. Chris is an excellent sight
reader and excels at improvisation. Chris is available as an
instrumentalist and vocalist.
IEVA MICKUTE
Ieva has been playing violin for 20 years. She studied music at the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music and graduated from Pepperdine University
with a BA Degree in Liberal Arts and Music. In her late teens, Ieva
received first place in a Southwestern Youth Music Festival competition
and was awarded the prize to perform a violin solo with the Baroque
Chamber Orchestra. Her orchestra and chamber music experience includes
the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra, the Soundfest Chamber
Music Festival, California State University at Fullerton, Pepperdine
University, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Ieva is
currently teaching strings and piano in an after-school program at a
private school in the San Diego.
TOBY OFT
Toby plays tenor trombone, alto trombone, euphonium and bass trumpet.
He has performed with the Buffalo Symphony, the Zurich Orchestra, the
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and the Florida West Coast Symphony. Toby
recently auditioned for and won the Principal Trombone chair with the
San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
TASHA SMITH
Tasha is a harpist. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from San
Diego State University and a Diplom Superior de Harpe Ecole Normal de
Musique from Paris, France. Tasha has performed with the Orquesta de
Baja California, the La Jolla Symphony, and free lances in the area.
AMANDA WALMSLEY
Amanda plays cello, piano, and violin. She holds a Masters of Music in
Cello Performance from Southern Methodist University. Amanda has
performed with several local church groups and additionally she has
performed with various concert bands and orchestras.

TOMMIE BYRD
Tommie plays violin, banjo, piano, keyboard, and guitar. Tommie is also
a composer and film maker.
ART FUERTE
Art plays bass trombone. He studied music at Riverside City College,
Cal-State Fullerton, and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Art has
performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Blossom Festival Band, West
Virginia Symphony, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Brass. He is available
for freelance concert work.
JASPER GRANT
Jasper is a pianist who earned a Bachelor of Arts at the Boston
Conservatory of Music. He has performed in the past for Starlight, at
the Old Globe, and at the Welk Dinner Theatre. A reinstated member,
Jasper is current working at the La Jolla Playhouse.
MICHELLE KANG
Michelle is a recent addition to the San Diego Symphony Orchestra's
violin section. She received her musical training at the Juilliard
School. Michelle has studied with both Dorothy Delay and Glenn
Dicterow.
DANNY KING
Danny is a drummer and percussionist. He was a career musician with the
U. S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps out of Washington, D. C. Danny
attended the Navy School of Music and the U. S. Marine Drum and Bugle
Corps School of Music. He also studied at Queens College in New York.
Danny is presently doing the drum work for The Wiz in production at the
La Jolla Playhouse.
GENEVA LUZALA
Geneva plays the drum trap set and the congas. She holds a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Music: Electronic Composition from San Diego State
University where she is currently finishing up a Master of Arts Degree
in Ethnomusicology. Geneva teaches drums and was the drummer in SDSU's
Jazz Combo 1.
JIM MOONEY
Jim plays guitar and electric bass. He graduated from the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Bachelor of music, Summa Laude. Jim is
doing the guitar work for The Wiz at the La Jolla Playhouse.
TOCA RIVERA
Toca is a percussionist and vocalist. He is currently performing with
San Diego's own Jason Mraz, a young pop vocalist who is enjoying
worldwide recognition as a successful artist. Toca has also toured with
Dave Matthews and Rob Thomas.
AL ROCHA
Al plays acoustic and electric basses and acoustic and electric guitars.
He studied bass with Local 325 member Rob Thorsen. Al has performed
with Local 325 members Bo Downie, Bob Marsteller, and Earl Smith.
GABRIEL SUNDY
Gabriel plays the baritone and tenor saxophones, flute, bass clarinet,
and electric guitar. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from
San Diego State University. Gabriel has both formal classical and jazz
training. Additionally, Gabriel is a composer and recording artist. He
is looking forward to doing both combo and big band work.
PEI-CHUN TSAI
Pei-Chun is a new violinist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. She
holds both Bachelor and Master Degrees in Music from Juilliard.
Pei-Chun is currently a Doctorial Candidate at the City University of
New York.

MICHAEL BOGART
Michael plays trumpet, flugelhorn, and trombone. He is a graduate of the
Interlochen Arts Academy, where he majored in Classical Performance. Mike
also attended the University of Miami and the Armed Forces School of Music. He
plays lead trumpet with Tower of Power, has been a featured soloist with Maynard
Ferguson, and of late has performed at private corporate functions with Michael
Mc Donald, Al Green and Earth Wind & Fire. Mike mentions
that he is married, has one daughter, and that he drives a Harley.
JON BORODACH
Jon plays bass trombone, euphonium, and is a conductor. He holds a Bachelors
in Euphonium and a Masters in Conducting from San Diego State University. Jon
has performed with the Grand Pacific Band and the San Diego Wind Ensemble. He
is presently the band and orchestra director at Grossmont High School.
MOLLY BROWN
Molly plays the baritone and also saxophones, clarinet, and alto clarinet. She
trained at Drake University and the United States Air Force. Molly recently
performed with the Boeing Concert Band in Seattle, and presently plays
with the Swingin' EZ Band.
STEPHANIE GUDEMAN
Stephanie plays oboe, English horn, Shawm, recorders, pennywhistle, mandolin,
piano, and also does vocals (alto). She studied music at San Diego City
College and San Diego State University. Stephanie has performed with the Southern
California Early Music Consort and the Imperial Symphony. She
has written music for film scores, television, and documentaries here and in
Los Angeles. Her passion is entertaining an audience.
RICHARD KULLMAN
Richard plays guitar and is an alumnus of the Guitar and Musician's Institute
in Hollywood.
MEL LIPSEY
Mel plays the drums and he holds a B.F.A. Degree (studio music). Mel has
thirty years of experience playing all styles of music, and mentions that he
is a very good rhythm section listener.
BRYAN LOWE
Bryan plays the contrabass and electric bass. He did his undergraduate
work at the University of San Diego, California, where he earned a Bachelors
of Arts in bass performance. Bryan studied at the Musik Akademie in Basel,
Switzerland. He has performed with numerous college and community orchestras
in Southern California. Bryan will be participating in an upcoming singer/songwriters
workshop in LA. He also composes in various styles.
TIMOTHY MC KNIGHT
Timothy plays piano and keyboards, and he is also a vocal coach, theatre director,
and choir director. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music from
the University of Illinois. Timothy has performed with Starlight Theatre
and the San Diego Choral Union. He will be working in the theatre and choral
fields. Timothy also teaches piano privately.
DIANE SNODGRASS
Diane plays piano and harpsichord. She holds a doctorate in piano from
the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. She will
be performing with the San Diego Symphony, Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra, and Classics
for Kids. Diane performs duets with Local 325 classical pianist, Mary
Barranger.

Ryan Beard
Ryan plays French Horn in the La Jolla Symphony. He is a welcome addition to our Local's French Horn family of players and is available for all styles of live musical performance.
Chester Englander
Chester plays percussion and timpani. He holds a Bachelor and Master's Degree in Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Chester has been a regular extra musician with the Cleveland and Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestras. Most recently, Chester performed as a substitute with the San Diego Symphony. He also teaches percussion and is looking forward to locating students in the San Diego area.
Erica Erenyi
Erica plays cello. She holds a Master's and Performance Residency Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Erica earned her Bachelor of Music Degree from Biola University located in La Mirada, California. She has performed at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, the College Light Opera Company in Cape Cod, the Henry Mancini Institute, and the Opera Theatre Pittsburgh. Erica has extensive theatre experience.
Rick Overton
Rick plays trumpet. He attended the Berklee College of Music, Shenandoah Conservatory. Rick holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies, a Bachelor's in Music Education, and a Master's in Music Composition. He held the position of Association Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Improvisation at the Tokyo College of Music, Japan. Rick has performed at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, at the Jazz and Latin Club Maduro with a quartet, and the French Kitchen in Tokyo. He lists Branford Marsalis, Tommy Campbell, Jack Mc Duff, Teo Macero, Mark Whitfield, and Tom Nygaard as some of his recent musical associates.
Adan Provencio
Adan, who plays the flute and piccolo, has rejoined Local 325. He studied with Damian Bursill-Hall, Claude Monteux, and Teresa Beaman. Adan has performed with the San Diego Opera and San Chamber Orchestras and the La Jolla Symphony. He also builds Websites for musicians.
Diane Tarabour
Diane plays flute and piccolo and she is a conductor. Diane received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Performance and Education from the University of Miami. She devoted an entire career as Principal Flute and soloist in the Navy Band at the US Naval Academy. Diane taught at the University of Miami and at Salisburg State University in the Washington area. She has vast experience as a flautist in the symphonic, opera, ballet, and theatrical fields. Diane conducted a flute choir in two world premiers last year.
Scott Tarabour
Scott plays tuba, euphonium, and electric bass guitar. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of Miami. Scott spent twenty years in the United States Academy Band. He is interested in playing with brass groups, bands, and orchestras. Scott also taught at Salisburg State University and at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Mirabai Weismehl
Mirabai plays violin, viola, and baroque violin. She received her Bachelor in Music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Almita and Roland Vamos. Mirabai earned a Master of Music with Distinction from Longy School of Music in Boston, where she studied with Joseph Silverstein. She has performed with the Charlotte Symphony, New World Symphony, Boston Baroque, Portland Symphony (Maine), New York String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, and at the Lucerne Festival in Boulez. Currently, Mirabai teaches violin and viola, all ages and levels. She just returned from China where she was a volunteer teacher through the World Teach program affiliated with Harvard University.
Richard Worrall
Richard plays guitar and electric bass. He attended Ithaca College of Music as an Applied Music Major. Richard took a Master Class from the virtuoso, Miguel Abloniz. He performs locally for private parties and also for Saint Michael's Youth Choir. Richard has a solid background as a talent booking agent on the East Coast. He is currently a private instructor teaching all styles of guitar and electric bass. Richard is open to any professional performance opportunities.
John Yaccino
John plays trap drums, percussion, timpani, and vibes. He is also a vocalist and conductor. He studied at De Paul University in Chicago. John has a vast background as a performing musician and conductor with combos, large to small hotel and show pit orchestras, plus television and recording studio dates. He has settled in San Diego and is available for all types of work.

Elizabeth plays piano and keyboard. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Illinois and an MM Music Degree from SDSU. Elizabeth is a private piano teacher and a highly accomplished accompanist. She accompanies recitals with students through her company, the Piano Press Studio. Additionally, Elizabeth is a published author, poet, songwriter, and arranger.
BRIAN CHEN
Brian is the new Principal Violist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. He attended Julliard and the Curtis Institute of Music. Brian is a member of CMS2 at Lincoln Center. He was the first place winner of the Primrose Viola competition and won top prize at the Tertis Viola competition.
CARL DERSHEM
Carl plays trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, trombone, bass trombone, baritone, and euphonium. He currently plays in the La Jolla Symphony. Carl is a United States Navy Band veteran. Carl also played in the SDSU jazz bands. He states that he has played most musicals of the 20th century.
JULIE FAGAN
Julie is a Horn player. She has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic, Harrisburg Symphony, and the Syracuse Symphony. Julie performed a recital at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She received a Bachelor in Music Degree from the Eastman School of Music with a Performer's Certificate.
MICHAEL FARTHING
Michael plays the trumpet. He studied under Eddie Hang and Don Richberg of the San Francisco Symphony and Opera Orchestras, and with Joe Alessi at San Francisco State. Michael was a trumpet performance major at SF State, and he also attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He performed with the 6th Army Band in San Francisco. Since 1967, he has played in brass quintets, orchestras, concert bands, and solo trumpet. Michael will endeavor to build relationships and contacts with Local 325 members.
MICHAEL GRIFFITH
Michael is a young musician who plays saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano. During high school, he founded and led a six-piece jazz band. While attending SDSU, he was enrolled in seven performing ensembles. Michael has recently been studying piano on a serious basis. He states that he is joining Local 325 to learn from and to play with the best musicians San Diego has to offer in an endeavor to become the best musician he can be. He plans to return to SDSU in 2006 to resume his musical studies. Michael is available to work in any field of music that requires a saxophone.
BRADLEY LEIGHTON
A classically trained flautist, Bradley was greatly influenced by the last of the great touring Big Bands like Basie, Kenton and Maynard, and all their talented personnel. After high school, he served for a time as musical director of the jazz ensemble of the Army's 9th Infantry Division band at Fort Lewis, Washington. He spent 15 years playing in a wide variety of rhythm and blues bands, Hammond Organ trios, fund dance bands and straight-ahead jazz bands. Bradley has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie and Patti Kim. In 2003 he recorded and released his first solo CD, "Groove Yard." In addition to performing and recording, Bradley is a clinician and teacher. He performs weekly at the club Aurora Trattoria in downtown La Jolla, as well as various clubs in the San Diego area.
DEMARRE McGILL
Demarre is the new Principal Flautist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. He was previously Principal Flute with the Florida Orchestra from 2000 to 2004. Demarre was the 2003 winner of the Avery Fisher Career Grant Award. He earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and a Master's in Music Degree from the Julliard School of Music. We welcome Demarre to the San Diego Symphony.
STEVE MARINO
Drummer/percussionist Steve Marino has recently rejoined Local 325. He is a classically trained percussionist. Steve studied with Myron Collins. Steve is a highly versatile musician, able to perform in multi-musical settings: classical, jazz, club work, etc. In the recent past, Steve performed with Benny Hollman, Dick Braun, and Robbie Breen. He is ready, available, and on call for work.

Erdis is a cellist. He has performed with the La Jolla Symphony and the Academy of Fine Arts Orchestra. Erdis received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Cello Performance from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, Albania. We welcome Erdis to San Diego.
BRANDON O'CONNELL
Brandon plays drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards. He attended Saint Augustine High School on a music scholarship. Also on a music scholarship at Point Loma Nazarene University, he was taught by Local 325 percussionist and drummer, Pat Pfiffner. Brandon is a resident musician at Singing Serpent Studios, Inc., an AFM signatory employer located in downtown San Diego. When not composing for TV and radio, Brandon produces music from his home studio.

William plays the bassoon. He performs with the Lyric Opera San Diego Orchestra and the La Jolla Symphony Orchestra. We welcome William to the Local.
MELONIE SACALAMITAO
Melonie is a pianist. She received a Bachelor of Music, Education/Jazz Emphasis, from the University of Miami in 1996. In 2003, Melonie received an MM in Jazz Studies from SDSU. At SDSU, she served under a Graduate Assistantship with Local 325 member, Bill Yeager, Director of Jazz Studies. Melonie has an extensive list of musical performance experiences, both at the collegiate level at SDSU and in the free-lance field. She plays jazz, Latin jazz, salsa, classical, and musical theater. Melonie has worked with Local 325 members Lori Bell, Ron Satterfield, Gilbert Castellanos, Rob Thorsen, Tim Mc Mahon, and Brian Eisenberg. She has been employed by Royal Caribbean International Cruises, both as a pianist and musical director for shows featuring major headliner acts. Her teaching experience extends to Miramar College, Grossmont College, Southwestern College, and San Diego State University. We welcome this extremely talented musician to Local 325.
JOANNE STOHS
Joanne plays piano, viola, and organ. She has performed with the Santa Rosa and Napa Orchestras in Northern California. In the state of Missouri, she performed with Synchronia and the Kammegild Chamber Orchestra. Joanne holds a Master's in Piano Performance from Washington University, and a Bachelor's in Piano and Viola Performance from Brigham Young University. She has sixteen years of experience as a free-lance violinist for pick-up orchestras, shows, and ballets. Joanne is also an accomplished piano accompanist.
STEPHEN STOHS
Stephen plays violin and viola. Married to Joanne Stohs, Stephen has worked the same Northern California venues as his wife, as well as with the St. Louis Philharmonic. He studied music at Northwestern University and Southern Illinois University. Stephen has extensive free-lance experience playing string trio and quartet engagements, and also concert orchestra work in the San Francisco Bay area.
JOHN WILL
John is a drummer. He graduated from San Diego State College in 1959 with a B.A. in Music Education as a percussion major. John taught music in San Bernardino City Schools for 24 years. He joined Local 167, AFM, located in the Inland Desert Empire in 1962. John played drums and percussion for the San Bernardino Civic Light Opera, the National Orange Show, the Los Angeles Fair, and performed shows in the Palm Springs area. While attending San Diego State, John played 4 nights a week with famed Local 325 reed man, Bob Mc Kewen (John pleads parenthetically and with levity that this latter musical camaraderie "not be held against him.") Now relocated in the Carlsbad area, John is interested in playing occasional casuals, especially in the North County area.

Norm is a drummer. He has played in big bands and small combos. Norm is an experienced drummer, having played Top 40, Latin, Dixieland, and musical theater. He is looking forward to working in the casual field.

Christine plays viola and violin. She graduated from Julliard, with both a Bachelor's and Masters Degree. She has performed in the New World Symphony and is presently a member of the California Quartet. Christine is now free-lancing in the San Diego area and states that she is very happy to be in San Diego!

Ulli plays violin and viola. She is currently concertmistress and adjunct faculty at Palomar College, orchestra director in the Poway Unified School District, and conductor and co-founder of the San Diego Youth Philharmonic in North County. Ulli is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music, with BME/Masters of Music training at USD and SDSU. A former member of Local 325, Ulli performed as a free-lance musician with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Opera, Starlight, and San Diego Chamber Orchestra. We welcome Ulli back to the Local.
JEFF THAYER
Jeff is the new Concertmaster of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with the Atlanta Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, and the Canton Symphony. Jeff received his musical training at Julliard, Eastman, and the Cleveland Institute of Music. He mentions that he loves to teach. We welcome this highly talented violinist to the San Diego Symphony and Local 325.
DREW ZINGG
Drew is a guitarist with a very impressive background as a professional musician. Drew was lead guitarist and musical director for Steely Dan from 1993 through 1995. He has toured and recorded throughout the last decade with David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, Shawn Colvin, Rickie Lee Jones, Gladys Knight, and Boz Scaggs. In between tours and album dates, Drew has been busy in the New York studio scene recording commercial jingles, movie soundtracks, and television. He has also done extensive work on Broadway as lead guitarist in the productions "Mamma Mia" and "Smokey Joe's Cafe." In October of last year, he became a faculty member of the prestigious Guitar Institute of Technology, located in Hollywood. Drew received a BA from Vassar College. He is available for casual and theater work.

Cindy plays Flute and Piccolo. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Flute Performance from the University of Utah. Cindy has performed with Seagate Concerts and the San Diego Chamber Orchestra. While in Utah, she performed with the Salt Lake Ballet Symphony and the Salt Lake Opera. Cindy is actively involved in flute pedagogy, offering private instruction and providing audition and performance preparation and coaching for advanced students. She is available for concert performance as a soloist as well as an ensemble. Cindy is presently a member of the flute duo, Jaded Butterflies, with Local 325 member and fellow flautist, Cheryl Bretsnyder.

Ethan plays Violin, Viola, Piano, and Baroque Violin. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music and a M.M. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Ethan has been a regular extra with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra on both Violin and Viola. He can be heard playing period instruments by New Trinity Baroque out of Atlanta, Georgia, on a recent CD release of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. Ethan can also be heard on CD as a Violin soloist with the Dallas Turtle Creek Carole's most recent recording.
JACKIE OLIVER
Jackie performs as Jackie Carpenter and plays Piano. She is also an accomplished lead and back up vocalist. Jackie is a classically trained pianist, having attended the University of Arizona. She has extensive vocal training as a jazz vocalist. Jackie specializes in performing the standards, jazz, pop, and classical. She has worked at all major venues, such as the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and Sheraton Hotels. Jackie is available for casuals, both small combo work, to big band engagements.

Chuck plays Piano, Synthesizer, and Electric Piano. He has worked with Bruce Cameron, the San Diego Jazz Band. He is currently working with the Pete De Luke Trio at the San Diego Zoo through early September.

Hank worked with Barry Manilow during Barry's early career, and performed with Rahsan Roland Kirk. Pamela plays Bb and Eb clarinet. She spent 11 seasons with the Dallas Wind Symphony. Pamela will be working with the San Diego Symphony and San Diego Chamber Orchestras. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Texas Christian University and a MM from the University of North Texas. Pamela is a strong advocate for music in the schools programs and has been very active as a clinician and adjudicator.
MANNY CEPEDA
Manny is a composer/arranger, Latin percussionist, and a timpanist. He holds a Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters in Performance (percussion). Manny studied arranging and composition with the Navy Music Schools. He spent 30 years performing around the world with Navy show bands. Manny has worked with Willie Colon and the Bi-National Mambo Band. He is currently producing his own CD of salsa and merengue with original music and lyrics. Manny plans on forming his own salsa group with San Diego based musicians.

Hugh plays guitar, banjo, and mandolin. He has relocated to the San Diego area from the state of Michigan. Hugh performs all styles of music, from the 1800's to the present and he is a vocalist. Hugh is at liberty available for free lance work.
PETE GOSLOW
Pete is a classical guitarist and singer/songwriter. He holds a Bachelors in Music Performance from Chapman University School of Music in Orange County. Pete has been performing in the Los Angeles area as a solo classical guitarist for the past 12 years. He is a very welcome instrumentalist to our musicians' referral list.
IKE MARR
Ike plays acoustic and electric guitars, viola, mandolin, electric bass, and is a vocalist. He received musical training at the University of Southern Mississippi. Ike has toured extensively in the Southwest and Europe, clocking over 800 live show performances in the past five years. He has recording credits on more than 25 studio albums, covering rock, pop, country, and bluegrass.
WAYNE McEVILLY
Wayne is an established classical pianist who has performed worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, universities, major hotels, restaurants, public libraries, and cruise lines. He attended the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music, Performing Arts School. Wayne earned a Ph.D. degree at the University of Southern California, where he was workshop leader for practicing musicians. He recently embarked upon a project where he brings his own recordings of Mozart (a 5-CD set) into public elementary school classrooms. Wayne specializes in live performance of Mozart and the great masters.
ROBERT PAYNE
Bob plays trombone, bass trombone, and euphonium. After growing up in San Diego, he spent the last 32 years as a successful freelance studio musician in Los Angeles. Bob brings with him a wealth of musical experience, including recording for movies, television, records, and commercials, as well as live performance experience in all styles, including musical theatre, big bands, orchestras, and small ensembles. He is currently in his 14th season with The Simpsons television show and is a member of the Les Brown Band of Renown.
WAYNE RICE
Wayne plays the tuba. He has performed with Westwind Brass, the San Diego Symphony, and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. He is interested in freelance work in our Local. Wayne earned his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Michigan, and a Masters in Music from the Manhattan School of Music. He is also licensed to practice law in California and Minnesota.

Erin has served as Principal Cello of the Julliard Symphony and Orchestra, Aspen Sinfonia, and the Tanglewood Festival Orchestra. She was a winner of the Coleman Chamber Competition. Erin has performed various chamber concerts in the New York City area; performances with Claude Frank (piano), and Fred Sherry (cello). She has also performed in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Amy Fischer Hall, and Brooklyn's Barge Music. We welcome Erin.

Lorraine is a violinist. She holds a Master of Arts from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University. DENNIS CAPLINGER
Dennis recently reinstated his membership in Local 325. He is a world-renowned banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and Dobro player. Dennis has recorded with major recording stars and has his own Dennis Caplinger Productions. He works regularly at the Welk Resort Dinner Theatre. He performs concerts and on sessions on a nationwide basis. Dennis' work is featured on The Simpsons, A & E, PBS, and the History Channel.

Reggie is a talented violinist. He holds a Licentiate of Music Performance and a Bachelor of Music Degree from Mc Gill University in Montreal, Canada. Reggie performs with the Hutchins Consort, the Mozart Classical Orchestra, and the Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra. He is also conductor of the North Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Linda plays viola and violin. She is a member of the Opera Pacific. She is a substitute musician with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, San Francisco Ballet, and the Joffrey Ballet. Linda also performs with Marion Scire's Classics for Kids Orchestra. She holds a Masters in Violin, having studied with Sally O'Reilly. Linda is a DMA candidate in viola and studied with Korey Konkol at the University of Minnesota.
PATRICK WEILL
Patrick also recently reinstated his membership in Local 325. He plays all saxes, flute, clarinet, keyboards, and he is a vocalist. Patrick studied with Jimmy Cheatham, George Lewis, and Con Menza. He received a full scholarship to SDSU's Masters Degree Program for Jazz Studies. Patrick performed, taught, and studied at San Diego State University under the direction of Bill Yeager. He performed at SDSU with the Jazz Ensemble. Patrick is active in the Christian music ministry in the San Diego area and has released two CDs.
ANNE ZARKOS
Anne is another reinstated member of Local 325. She studied violin at the Fairbanks Art Center with Michael and Irina Tseitlin, and music performance at the University of San Diego. She will be working with Francesca Savage and Caprice Strings, Jim Zagami, as well as her own group, AMZ Strings.

Kathy plays flute and piano. She has performed with the Boston University Symphony, the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, and the New England Philharmonic. Kathy received a BA in Flute Performance at UCLA and a MM in Flute Performance from Boston University. She teaches flute and piano privately. Kathy will join our Local's free lance field.

Daria plays violin. She is enrolled in the SDSU Symphony Orchestra. Daria toured Spain, France, and Italy in the summer of 2002. She performs for various churches in the San Diego area. Daria is currently studying with Hernan Constantino and working toward a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at SDSU. We welcome Daria to Local 325.
MISSY LUKIN
Missy is a violinist. She is a member of the Opera Pacific Orchestra and subs with the Pacific Symphony, San Diego Symphony, and San Diego Chamber Orchestra. Missy has recently performed with the Starlight Orchestra. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Rice University, where she studied with Kathleen Winkler, and holds a Master's from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the instruction of William Preucil.

Darrel plays the trumpet. He has performed with Manhattan Transfer, Pat Boone, the Bob Stone Orchestra, Tex Beneke, the All Star Chicago Jazz Orchestra, and the Statesmen Big Band. Darrel earned a BA in Music Education at CSU Fresno. Darrel is also a licensed commercial pilot. Welcome to Local 325.
JOSCHA OETZ
Joscha is a contrabass and electric bass player. He is also an accomplished composer and arranger. Joscha has an extensive performance background. He has worked with Michael Brecker, George Lewis, Rick Helzer, Gilbert Castellanos, and David Liebmann, among others. Joscha earned an MA in Performance at UCSD under Bert Turetzky. He also has an MA in Jazz from Koln Music Academy in Germany. Joscha studied authentic Cuban music with Cachaito in La Habana, Cuba. He is a Teaching Associate at UCSD's music department and in the Linguistics Department there, where he teaches German instruction and grammar. Joscha teaches private contrabass and bass guitar at all levels of experience. He is available to work in all areas of our Local's free lance field.
CAROLYN VAN LOON
Carolyn plays viola and violin. She performs with Greg Lawrence's Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra and the Baja Symphony. Carolyn also works with Local 325 contractor Alyze Dreiling. She has participated in numerous music festivals in the United States, Mexico, and abroad. Welcome to Local 325.

Jacob plays the French Horn. He has performed in the Pacific Coast Concert Band and the SDSU Orchestra. Jacob is a student of John Lorge. He is looking forward to performing in our concert and free lance fields.

Erika plays viola and violin. She has performed with the West Coast Chamber Orchestra and with regional orchestras in Indiana, Louisiana, and Michigan. Erika has a Bachelor is Music Degree from Northwestern State University and a Master's in Music from Indiana University under Alan De Veritch. She is an alumnus of the San Diego Youth Symphony. Erika is back in San Diego and looks forward to performing here.

Colin plays guitar and bass. He recently relocated to San Diego County from Florida. Colin holds a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in compositional theory and harmonic progression. Dr. Feighner plays the alto saxophone, clarinet, and bassoon. He is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band. We welcome Dr. Feighner to Local 325.

Pete has recently reinstated in Local 325. He is the leader of Mariachi Real de San Diego. Pete plays the vihuela, guitar, and sings the traditional Mariachi repertoire of Mexico. We happily welcome Pete back into Local 325.

DAVID HEATER
David plays all saxophones, flute, and clarinet. He studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Armed Forces School of Music and San Diego State University. David is a member of the Coastal City Jazz Band and the Rancho Santa Fe Jazz Band. He is a versatile performer, talented soloist, and excellent sight-reader, available to perform in any big band or combo setting.

Erin plays viola and violin. She has performed with the Kentucky Symphony, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Bermuda Philharmonic, Opera Theatre of Lucca, has toured with a production of Titanic, and performed at the Aspen Music Festival. Erin holds a Master of Music in Viola Performance from CCM and studied at the Henry Mancini Institute. She is experienced as a stroller and is interested in joining a strolling string group. Erin is also looking forward to working in our Local's symphonic field.
VICKIE JENKINS
Vickie is a vocalist who performs with the Full Measure Carolers and Pacific Camerata. She is a versatile vocal performer who also plays piano, recorder, and percussion. We welcome Vickie.
DAVID LOWE
David plays electric and acoustic guitars and the mandolin. He is a music and art teacher at Morse High School in the San Diego City Schools District. David is the advisor for the Morse High School Guitar Club. He has performed as a lead guitarist with various worship groups. A self-taught musician, David learned the basics while studying piano at an early age. He is an experience blues, jazz, rock, and contemporary Christian music guitarist. David is at liberty to perform all styles of music.
CESAR LOZANO
Cesar is a drummer. He studied music at SDSU under the direction of members Bill Yeager and Rick Helzer. Cesar is both a big band and combo drummer. He is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band and is available for casual work.
REBECCA METHENY MASON
Rebecca plays flute and doubles on piccolo. She holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the University of Maryland. Rebecca performed as Principal Flute with both the San Francisco Conservatory Orchestra and the SFCM New Music Ensemble. She has been awarded numerous honors and awards and has participated in a variety of festivals and master classes. Rebecca is available to perform in all areas of our Local's live music categories-classical to casual.
MARTY RECTOR
Marty is an all-around percussionist, including trap drums. She is currently attached to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Band at Miramar Air Base. Marty earned a Bachelor Degree in Music from Ball State University and a Masters Degree in Music from the University of Michigan. She has performed as a xylophone soloist with four different Marine Corps Bands during her military career. We welcome Marty to our Local's cadre of percussionists.

Brandon joined our Local as a youth member. He is a talented young flautist. Brandon has performed with the San Diego Youth Symphony and other organized youth musical ensembles in the greater San Diego area. He is eager to perform with our Local's classical ensembles.

Tiffany is another young flautist who recently joined Local 325. She is majoring in Music at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she performs with the concert band and orchestra. Tiffany studies with Jill Coady and looks forward to performing in our classical field.

SIMEON FLICK
Simeon plays electric and acoustic guitars, classical guitar, fretted and fretless basses, percussion, drums, keyboards, and is a vocalist! He earned a Bachelor of Music in Classical guitar performance from the University of Redlands. Simeon works mostly as a solo artist doing free lance session work and commercial announcements on the side at Singing Serpent Studios. We welcome this multi-talented young musician into our membership.
DONALD FOSTER
Donald is a classically clarinetist. He has performed with the Santa Barbara Symphony, the Pasadena Symphony, the New West Symphony and the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra. Locally he performs with the San Diego Symphony, the San Diego Chamber Orchestra and the San Diego Opera.
GERALD GLAZE
Jerry plays piano, organ, keyboards and electric bass. He has more than 40 years experience as a full-time, dedicated professional musician, from the Big Band era to today's digital technology. A resident of North County, Jerry performs the full musical range of casual engagements in this area, mostly as a single on piano, organ and keys. With a classical piano training background from the Toronto Conservatory in Canada, Jerry has developed a style of playing, blending elements of jazz, swing, classical and Latin music. Jerry is available to perform all types and styles of musical engagements.
SCOTT KYLE
Scott is a trombonist and plays keyboards. He recently settled in San Diego, primarily to pursue a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University. Scott will be performing with Kevin Esposito's big band, Gary Lefebvre, Bill Yeager's SDSU jazz ensemble, and other big bands and jazz groups. A certified public accountant, Scott is also an experienced businessman, having owned and operated a tour and sales business.
CONOR MEADS
Conor plays piano, guitar and is a vocalist. He writes and records in the jingle business. Conor is associated with Local 325 member, Rafter Roberts, another of our young members in the jingle business. He recently sold his first two Union contracted jingles. We wish Conor continued successes with his multi-musical endeavors.

Priscilla is a new cellist in Local 325. She earned a Bachelor's in Music Education from San Diego State University. We get quite a few calls from our contractors for new cellists in the Local, so please make a note to call Priscilla. She is the most recent cellist to join Local 325.

Andy is a guitarist. He is currently recording jingles in the San Diego area. Andy has performed in several rock and alternative bands in his young musical career. We welcome Andy.

Jelena is a violinist. She has more than thirty years experience as a professional musician with major orchestras in Latvia, Taiwan and Mexico. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Latvian State Conservatory of Music and has completed post-graduate studies at the Moscow Conservatory. Jelena has an extensive teaching background and presently holds a teaching position at the University of Baja California. She is currently performing with the San Diego Chamber Orchestra and looks forward to working in the free lance field as well.

Bill plays violin and electric bass. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Bill has performed show work, concerts and has worked the casual field extensively in the Chicago area as an electric bassist. He has recently performed in the Emmanuel Faith Orchestra.

Andy is a trumpet player. He is graduating from SDSU this May with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. He has studied privately with Calvin Price and Brad Steinwehe. We welcome Andy to our Local's cadre of trumpet players.
ANN ERWIN
Ann plays flute, piccolo and alto flute. She holds music degrees from USC and UCSD and studied at the Yale Summer School of Music. She received fellowships to study in Paris with Michael Debost and Ida Ribera. Ann has played with the San Diego Symphony and Opera Orchestras, the Ventura Symphony, Franciscan String Quartet and other ensembles. She has performed in concerts, recitals and competitions around the world and has served as an Assistant Professor of Flute at the Universities of Wyoming and Tennessee. We welcome Ann back to Local 325!
DAN GREENBUSH
Dan is a well-known pianist in the area. He is a fellow alumnus of SDSU where he majored in music. Dan served at SDSU as an adjunct piano instructor. In recent years, he has performed in the local musical theatre scene. Dan worked the production of Forever Plaid at both the Theatre at Old Town and the Sycuan Casino, as well as Starlight summer productions for the past three seasons. We also welcome Dan back to Local 325!
DORA HALL
Dora is a well-known vocalist in the area. She has worked many of this town's finest entertainment spots throughout the years. Dora is quite a versatile vocalist with a wide ranged repertoire and she plays the congas. We welcome Dora back to the Local.

Eric plays keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and does vocal work. He is a highly experience studio recording musician and Eric is available for all types of work.
JOSEPH HINTZ
Joseph is a young violinist. He is presently in his last semester at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Joseph will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Violin performance. He then plans to pursue graduate studies. Growing up in San Diego, he attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. Joseph recently performed with the Vienna Orchestra at its now annual holiday concert at Copley Symphony Hall. He looks forward to performing while in the San Diego area. Joseph is the son of Local 325 member and San Diego Symphony violinist, Susan Robboy.
PIERRE JOUBERT
Pierre is a violinist. Pierre recently concluded a tour of the United States with the Academy of Ancient Music and Robert Levin. He also recently played concerts in Boston and Carnegie Hall with Cecilia Bartoli. This past November, Pierre was performing worldwide with ensembles and orchestras based in London. He is presently affiliated with UCSD.
ELLIOTT LAWRENCE
Elliott is a popular vocalist in the area with an extensive repertoire. He is a former Broadway singer/dancer and vocal teacher and plays piano and keyboards. Elliott has been performing for several years with Ed Zubov's Swingin' EZ Band.

Don plays piano and keyboards and has a full-scale background and well-rounded experience as a theatre pianist/keyboard player. Don looks forward to working our Local's theater scene again and we welcome him back to the Local.

Steve plays all saxophones, the clarinet and piano. He has worked extensively for the Carnival Cruise Lines and is presently a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band.
FRANK SEARS
Frank is a trombonist. He is a native of San Diego and first became a member of Local 325 in 1945. He had been away from San Diego for several years, but returned here late last year and now wants to get back into playing. Frank has many years of experience as a big band musician. We welcome Frank back to San Diego!
EDDIE SENEGAL
Eddie plays tenor, alto, soprano and baritone saxes, while doubling on flute, piccolo and clarinet. He has performed with the likes of Ike and Tina Turner, the BB King Orchestra, the Staple Singers while recording on a multitude of major movie, television, video, commercial and CD soundtracks. Eddie is available for work in all categories of employment, especially in the fields of casual, show and concert work.
ROBERT STEPHENSON
Robert is a pianist specializing in solo work in restaurants, hotels, country clubs and piano bars. He recently played solo programs in adult care facilities in the Reno area. Robert has developed programs containing musical tunes and events of each year from 1920 through 1960. He has just relocated back to the San Diego area.
HANG SU
Hang Su is a violinist. He has joined the San Diego Symphony as a one-year contracted substitute musician. Hang is a graduate of USC where he studied with Donald Mc Innes and Ralph Fielding.
JON WISHNUFF
Jon plays percussion and drum set. He has performed as Principal Percussionist and Assistant Timpanist with the South African Broadcast Corporation, the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony and the Israel Philharmonic. Jon has performed shows on the drum set and is available to work in a combo setting and, of course, in the classical field. He holds a Bachelor's in Music from Indiana University.

Bill plays drums and percussion and is the son of Local 325 trumpet player, Joe Dyke. Bill will be playing in Joe's Bavarian Beer Garden Band that performs annually at the La Mesa Oktoberfest. This year, the Beer Garden Band also performed at the San Diego Oktoberfest held in Ocean Beach. We welcome Bill to our Local.
RAMA DYUSHAMBEE
Rama plays the saxophones, flute, and percussion and does vocals. His musical roots trace from the 1940's and 1950's South Black Baptist Gospel. He studied for three years in the Modern School of Music in Washington, D.C. and is an arranger and composer. He is currently working on a CD project of original compositions.

Victoria plays the violin. She attended the National Orchestra Institute in Baltimore. She has performed with the Orquesta de Baja California and the La Jolla Symphony Orchestra.
TERRY FENWICK
Terry plays keyboards, rhythm guitar and does backup vocals. Terry is musically versatile and enjoys playing jazz and blues the most. He has composed for radio, television, film and live stage. Terry has been employed by the Performing Arts Department of San Diego City Community College. He is available to work in the casual field.
TONY KARASEK
Tony plays the drums, sitar and tabla. Tony received independent study and training of Raga/Tabla in India from many of India's master musicians. He performed with Pandit Ravi Shankar from 1996 to 2000. Tony will be performing in Member Robert Zelickman's Second Avenue Klezmer Ensemble.
GERARD NOLAN
Gerard, born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, is a newcomer to the San Diego area. He plays tenor, alto, clarinet and flute. He spent nine years in the Irish Army Band playing clarinet. Gerard then studied jazz at the New School in New York City. He has performed extensively in Europe. Gerard is an experienced reader and has a good working knowledge of the standard commercial repertoire. Gerard is available for all facets of casual employment in our Local.
WILLIAM "JAY" RANDALL
Jay plays the tuba. He is currently attending SDSU, majoring in music and studying with Local 325 Member Brent Dutton. He is enrolled in the SDSU Orchestra, SDSU Brass Quintet and performs with the San Diego Youth Orchestra. Jay looks forward to subbing with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and performing in our Local's free lance concert field.

Frank plays the oboe. He has entered into a one-year contract as acting Principal Oboe with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Frank earned his Bachelor of Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music and his Masters in Music at the Juilliard School of Music.

Kenseth plays the bass, keyboards and guitar. He is a composer for television, radio and film. Kenseth attended the University of Redlands School of Music. He is currently involved in several music projects in the San Diego area.

Mary is a versatile cellist with twenty years experience in playing ballet, opera, shows, weddings, parties and church concerts. She relocated to San Diego from the Seattle area where she performed with the Iris Quartet in various concert settings. Gaea is newly relocated from New York City to San Diego. She is a pianist, flautist, harpist and vocalist. Gaea, originally from Western Canada, earned degrees in music from the University of Victoria, B.C. (Classical Performance in Harp), and McGill University, Montreal, Q.C. (Jazz Performance with Distinction in Jazz Piano). Gaea has been performing professional as a pianist and flautist for over ten years in many diverse musical contexts. Her experiences include everything from trio to big band to solo lounge work to performances with orchestras. We welcome Gaea to our Local.

James is a violinist and is presently performing with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra. James earned a MM from the University of Michigan and a Bachelors in Music from the University of California at Irvine. He will be auditioning for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.

Toby plays drums and percussion. He earned a BA in Music Education from SDSU, where he studied percussion with Danlee Mitchell. Toby has also studied under Pat Pfiffner, John Flood and David Garibaldi. Toby is the drummer with the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band and he leads his own combos. He looks forward to doing some of our Local's theater drumming and percussion work.
DIEGO CORRIENTE
Diego is a flamenco and classical guitarist. He has an impressive background as a world-class flamenco guitarist and has toured the world as both a soloist and with dance companies. Diego studied in his native Spain with such flamenco guitar masters as Mario Escudero and Augustin Castellon. He holds degrees in music and Spanish literature. Our Local is now fortunate to have a flamenco guitarist of Diego's caliber in our membership.
ERICA DUNFORD
Erica is a cellist, new in town. She was Principal Cellist with the Moorpark Symphony under the direction of James Song. Erica holds a Masters Degree in cello performance from the University of Colorado at Bounder where she studied with Judith Glyde. Our Local's string contractors will be pleased to welcome a new cellist to our membership.
MICHAEL TAYLOR HAHN
Michael plays drums and percussion. He is the drummer with the San Diego based alternative group, Liquid Blue. Michael is versatile is all aspects of commercial music. He holds an AA Degree in Music and is a past winner of the IAJE Award for Jazz Drummers.
RUSSELL NELSON
Russell plays drums, percussion and piano and plays all styles of music. Russell has traveled extensively around the world performing hotel circuits, military installations, clubs and lounges. He also has vast experience in the recording field, both as an instrumentalist and producer. Russell is available for all casual job calls.

We welcome Bill back into Local 325. He is an outstanding multi-reed man, playing soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, flute and piccolo. He is in the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band and also leads his own combo. Bill is available on reeds for all casual work.
ROBBIE SMITH
Robbie plays trumpet, baritone horn and the conch shell. He studied with Harold Mitzhell, Ollie Mitchell, Hal Crook and Les Kepics. Robbie is also a composer, arranger and studio conductor. He has played in the Ray Barrie Orchestra and the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band. We welcome Robbie to Local 325.
LAURA VAUGHAN
Laura joins our Locals' corps of talented harpists. Laura, who joined Local 325 as a Youth Member, has studied with Sheila Sterling and Elena Mashkovtseva. Laura's mother, Donna Vaughan, is one of our Local's fine harpists. Laura recently performed with the San Diego Comic Opera Orchestra and played Starlight Opera's opening show, 1776. She recently won the Goodlin Foundation Scholarship and has been awarded a sizable scholarship from the University of Oregon's Music Department. We wish Laura success with her musical studies and professional career.

CARL CABANISS
Carl is a reed man, playing all saxophones, clarinet and flute. Carl is an excellent sight reader with good interpretation for 1st alto through baritone saxophone, especially in the area of Dixieland and classical clarinet. He is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band. We welcome Carl back to Local 325!
GARRY GOODMAN
Garry is a highly talented electric bassist. Garry plays a six-strong electric bass and is known as the world's first seven-string electric bass player. He also plays a nine-string bass guitar. Additionally, Garry plays slack key guitar, ukulele, bagpipes,, and is a strong lead vocalist with a wealth of experience in both recording and live performance settings. Garry's musical styles include standards, classic rock, Hawaiian, vintage rock, Top 40 (from 1955 to present), jazz and country. Garry has performed with top entertainers, the likes of Thelma Houston, Frankie Avalon, the Fifth Dimension and Dionne Warwick, to name a few. He is also a composer/arranger with music on the air nationally. Garry is also a member of Local 47 in Los Angeles. He is looking forward to performing in our Local's casual scene. We welcome an electric bassist of this caliber to San Diego.
HAL JELLISON
Hal plays piano and organ. As the leader of The Pastels, Hal worked at the Old King Luis Inn in the Old Town/Bay Park area from 1985 to 1995. Hal received his AA in Music from San Diego Mesa College and his BA from San Diego State University. He is an adjunct Professor of Music at both the San Diego Community and Grossmont Community School Districts. We welcome Hal back to Local 325!

34 Below, an enterprising San Diego, turned national band, formerly known as Liquid Groove, recently joined Local 325. The members of this Carlsbad-based group are Steve Ybarra, lead vocals/guitar, Chris James, guitar/keyboards/vocals, Mike Trout, drums/percussion and Brian Maples, Bass. 34 Below recently signed with NFE Records and is now gearing up for a heavy Spring/Summer tour in support of their newest album release, "Is It You." The album is currently getting lots of airplay on commercial Adult/Contemporary (A/C) and Hot A/C radio stations across the country. 34 Below is known for putting on dynamic stage shows and is best known for their unique brand of carefully stylized, melodic music and thought-provoking songs. The majority of songs in 34 Below's live and recorded music repertoire are original. Local 325 is pleased to welcome this young, dynamic group of musicians into its membership. We will follow their musical accomplishments.

Randy is a big band First Chair Trumpet player. He has played with numerous big bands in the Southern California area. Randy has also performed in theater pit bands and community bands in the San Diego County area. He presently plays first trumpet in the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band. Michael plays trumpet, flugelhorn, and valve trombone and is also a vocalist. He is currently playing lead trumpet and valve trombone with Tower of Power. Michael formerly worked with the Maynard Ferguson Big Band. He is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and the United States Armed Forces School of Music. We welcome Michael back to Local 325.
BRIAN EISENBERG
Brian plays piano, percussion and is also a composer and arranger. He has played with the Del Bybee Big Band and has also performed with the San Diego Comic Opera Orchestra. Brian is available to work with jazz combos, big bands, theater pit bands and for casual work. He received his Bachelor's in Music Composition from San Diego State University. Brian is an arranger for area high schools and the San Diego Alliance Drum and Bugle Corps.

Nicholas plays the double bass. He is currently subbing with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Nicholas received his musical education at the University of Southern California. He does free lance work in the Los Angeles area in addition to his playing in the San Diego area.

Emily plays the flute and piccolo. She is currently performing with the Grossmont Symphony under the direction of Dr. Randall Tweed. Emily has performed with the Indiana and Maine Symphony Orchestras.
GEOFF GEWEHR
Geoff is a string bass player. He studied bass with Gunnar Biggs and John Moore, a former member of the San Diego Symphony currently playing with the Pittsburgh Symphony. Geoff is currently performing with the La Jolla Symphony.
PETER GRINNELL
Peter is a guitarist. He is new in the San Diego area and is presently teaching at the California Music Studios. Peter studied at Pasadena College and the Musician's Institute.
BOB HOWARD
Bob is new to the San Diego area. He is a drummer and plays all the basic styles of commercial music. He worked with the late Benny Lagasse and Pete Newberg. Bob studied music at the United States Army Band School.
BILL HUNKER
Bill plays bassoon and contrabassoon. He is currently subbing with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Bill received his Bachelor's in Music from Indiana University and his Masters Degree from Rice University.
SCOTT JANUSCH
Scott plays Oboe and English Horn. He is presently Acting Principal Oboe with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Previously, Scott performed with the Honolulu Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He received his Masters in Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
PETER LATHROP
Peter plays keyboards and piano. He is also an accomplished songwriter and arranger. Peter is also involved in the production phase of the musical industry. He is in the process of forming a state of the art recording studio and production company. He is part of a duo called Solar Wind Digital and plays from classical music to standards, rock and pop.
VALENTIN MARTCHEV
Valentin plays bassoon and is currently subbing with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Valentin has previously performed with the Charlottesville and University Symphonies.
DENISE MARTIN
Denise plays piano, organ, and flute and is also a vocalist. Denis is classically trained as a pianist and organist. In addition to playing for church services and weddings, she has performed popular music and show tunes in piano lounges and piano bars. Denise teaches piano privately. She holds a B. S. Degree in Computer Information Systems from Union Institute in San Diego.
CHARLES MARTYN
Charles plays the clarinet, saxophones, flute and piccolo. He holds a music degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Michigan. Charles also notes that he is in the business of making single reeds.
MICHAEL MILLS
Michael is a keyboard player and composer. He plays a variety of musical stylings. Michael is the business partner of Peter Lathrop in their enterprise and the other half of Solar Wind Digital.
PHILIP TYLER
Philip plays violin and viola. He holds a Doctorate in Violin Performance from Florida State University. He is a Professor of Music at Point Loma Nazarene University. Philip served as concertmaster with the Lake Charles and Rapides Symphony Orchestras in Louisiana. He also teaches privately.
SUSAN UNG
Susan plays the viola. She has performed with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. Susan recently performed with the Local 325 pit band in the La Jolla Playhouse production of Dracula. She will also be subbing with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
STANLEY WANG
Stanley is a violinist. He will be working with the San Diego Symphony and San Diego Chamber Orchestras. Stanley has previously performed with the New World Symphony, China National Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra and the Redlands Symphony. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Beijing Central Conservatory, an Artist Diploma from Duquesne University and a Masters Degree from the University of Southern California. Stanley has performed professionally over the last twenty years both nationally and internationally.
PATRICK WEILL
Patrick plays the saxophones, clarinet and flute. He has performed with various big bands in the San Diego area. Patrick studied with Don Menza and is now working on his Masters in Jazz at San Diego State University.

Sayuri plays the double bass and is currently subbing with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
ANNE ZARKOS
Anne plays the violin and viola. She does free lance work in the San Diego area as well as private teaching. Anne studied music at the University of San Diego and also at Fairbanks School of Performing Arts.
MIKAN ZLATKOVICH
Mikan is an accomplished, versatile pianist. He works with Gilbert Castellanos as well as other jazz musicians locally. Mikan is a welcome addition to our Local's growing cadre of talented jazz artists.

Marti is a pianist/vocalist. Marti is involved mostly in studio work as a composer and music producer. She comes to San Diego from the Chicago area.
GINA CAVIAR
Gina plays violin and viola. She earned a Masters Degree at the Peabody Conservatory with Roberto Diaz. Gina has performed with the Monterey Symphony, the Portland Symphony and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. She is presently teaching violin and viola at a children's school in La Jolla.
CORRIE COVELL
Corrie is a violinist. In the Los Angeles area, Corrie performed with the American Youth Symphony. She is presently enrolled at SDSU in the graduate program where her private string instructor is Hernan Constantino. Corrie is subbing with the San Diego Chamber Orchestra.
NICHOLAS FIORE
Nicholas plays acoustic and electric bass. He is a Life Member in the Detroit Musicians Union. Nicholas plays jazz, swing and knows the commercial standards repertoire.
MARK FONTANA
Mark plays all trumpets, flugelhorn and cornet. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Louisiana Tech. Mark is currently attending SDSU studying for his Masters in Music Performance.
NIKOLAI MNDOIAN
Nikolai plays the violoncello. He has performed both in the United States and Mexico. Nikolai has vast experience in classical ensemble and solo performance. He has won several competitions such as VOCE and MTAC. Nikolai looks forward to performing with our Local's classical ensembles.
GARY PACK
Gary is back in San Diego after being away for a few years. He is an acclaimed trumpet and flugelhorn player. Gary has worked all over the world with top names in the realm of jazz from small ensembles to large orchestras. He was recently the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Maine. We welcome Gary back to the San Diego area.
JON RUDIN
Jon plays the French Horn. He performs with the La Jolla Symphony. Jon looks forward to ensemble playing and concert work.
ROB SCHMIDTKE
Rob plays the bassoon and contrabassoon. He is currently a contracted substitute musician with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. He studied at SDSU and USC. He has performed extensively in the Los Angeles area. Rob also plays clarinet, bass clarinet, alto and baritone saxophones.
PAUL SUNDFOR
Paul is back in San Diego after spending a few years in New York City. Paul plays all of the woodwinds, crossing over from jazz to classical to theater work. While in New York, Paul joined Local 802 and performed on several Broadway shows. We welcome Paul back to San Diego.
ART TYLER
Art plays trombone, euphonium, bass trumpet and alto trombone. He attended Juilliard School of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music. Art plays Principal Trombone in the Grossmont Symphony.
TED WILLIAMS
Ted plays electric bass and drums. Ted is a unique musician in that he able to play both of these instruments simultaneously, and play them well. He plays all styles of commercial music in any setting, whether a small group or a big band.

DOMINICK ADDARIO
Dominick is a trumpet player who plays in big band settings, combos and Dixieland groups. He is a former member of Local 802 in New York where he performed with the Lester Lanin, Meyer Davis and Eddie Duchin bands. Dominick is a physician-psychiatrist in private practice and also teaches at the UCSD School of Medicine. He enjoys playing in Dixieland festivals and looks forward to Local 325 membership.
VINCE BENEDETTI
Vince is a seasoned pianist, trombone player as well as a composer/arranger and educator. Vince has recently returned to the United States from Berne, Switzerland where he settled in 1972. While living in Berne, he directed the Swiss Jazz School, giving master classes in piano and conducting. He toured extensively in Europe, performing with both his trio and with name jazz artists. Vince studied at Ithaca College of Music and New York University. With a broad repertoire, Vince is available to work as a single, in a combo setting or in a big band.
PAT BURKE
Pat is now our Local's steel drummer, which we needed. He is accomplished on this instrument and is available to play casuals and shows on the steel drums. Pat also plays the vibes and the traditional trap set. He has his own Latin Jazz quintet, a very good one. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in the 1970's. Pat is available to play in a variety of musical settings.
KEVIN HENNESSY
Kevin is a very fine acoustic and electric bass player. He is a versatile bassist, available to play in any musical setting. Kevin performs with Holly Hofmann and Mike Wofford. We welcome Kevin back!
KATHERINE KEHDER
Katherine is a new violinist in our Local. She is in San Diego from the Boston area where she was a free lance musician. We welcome Katherine.
NICKY KUKICH
Nicky plays keyboards and piano. He received his musical training at the Musik University in Sarajevo-Bosnia where he was also a music professor. He has performed in European countries as a one-man band and as a group member. Nicky also has experience as a studio session player. He is looking forward to making musical connections in the casual field.
TONY MARILLO
Tony is back in San Diego from the Los Angeles area. A stellar drummer, Tony has backed up the likes of Doc Severinsen, Ann Margret, Steve and Edie and Mike Douglas, to name a few. For many years he was a very busy drummer in the Las Vegas musical scene. Locally, Tony has been the drummer with the Benny Hollman Orchestra. Tony is available for work and we welcome him back to San Diego.
DUNCAN MOORE
Duncan is an all-around drummer and percussionist, one of the best in San Diego. He performs regularly with Holly Hofmann and Mike Wofford. Welcome back, Duncan.
RAFTER ROBERTS
Rafter is a multi-instrumentalist, musically versatile on guitar, bass, keys, drums and voice. He has performed with several San Diego groups through the years. Rafter is interested in networking with Union bands.
TOM SMERK
Tom plays guitar (lead and rhythm/electric and acoustic), electric bass and sings lead, harmony and backup vocals. Tom plays light jazz, rock oldies, blues, country and commercial standards. Tom is putting a new act together with member Sonny Robins. He is also interested in casual work with Union groups. Tom is also very computer literate, working as a computer information systems professor.
JOSH WEST
Josh plays guitar and keyboards. He has an impressive and extensive background in the field of rock music. He writes music and lyrics for his own band at the present time. Josh has background and experience as a session player. We look forward to Josh's accomplishments in the rock field in the San Diego area.
SUSAN WULFF
Susan is an accomplished contra bassist. She also plays the electric bass. Susan is a USC music graduate and will be working as a substitute with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra for the current 2001-2002 season. She has performed with the Los Angeles Opera, New West Symphony and the Riverside Philharmonic. In addition to playing classical music, Susan also plays jazz and pop.

GILBERT CASTELLANOS
Gilbert is an outstanding trumpet player who recently joined our Local. His emphasis is jazz, but Gilbert is versatile in all styles of music. He studied formerly at Berklee College of Music and at Cal Arts. Recently he successfully auditioned for a chair with the Los Angeles based Hamilton-Clayton Orchestra, a prestigious jazz ensemble. In addition to leading his own jazz groups in the San Diego area, he has performed locally with Jack Costanzo and Benny Hollman. We welcome this very talented young musician into our Local.
TERRY CHESSON
Terry is an experienced multi-reed player-all saxes, clarinet and flute. He was a musicians and Band Officer in the Navy for 26 years. He has a vast repertoire of the standards and is also an exceptional reader. He is working locally with members Kevin Esposito and Ed Zubov.
KACEY EVANS
Kacey is a young pianist, keyboard player, arranger and composer. Kacey is experienced as a jazz musician and also as a solo cocktail pianist. He recently worked at the Ballagio in Las Vegas where he was the musical director/arranger/pianist for a show band. Kacey is looking forward to working in the local San Diego area.

Mark Hoppus is a guitarist/vocalist. Mark is the leader of blink-182, a San Diego based, nationally renown group. We welcome Mark!
ROSS KALLEN
Ross is a very accomplished tuba player who recently reinstated back into Local 325. He will be working with Westwind Brass and subbing with the San Diego Symphony. Our contractors will be pleased to know that such an accomplished musicians as Ross is back as a member of our Local.

JEFF NEVIN
Jeff (trumpet) is well known in mariachi music circles as the leader of Mariachi Champana Nevin. Jeff learned the entire mariachi repertoire while growing up in the Tucson, Arizona area. A graduate music student at UCSD, Jeff also crosses over to the semi-classical, classical and popular music fields-quite an accomplishment for a young man. We welcome Jeff to our Local.

Brett (percussion) is currently the percussionist at the La Jolla Playhouse for their production of JANE EYRE. Brett is a graduate music student at UCSD and is a welcomed addition to our Local's theater and classical percussion corps.

Colette (violin) is working for the San Diego Chamber Orchestra this summer. While attending the University of Redlands as a music student, she performs part-time with the Redlands Symphony.
HAL SMITH
Hal (drums) has played drums since 1963 and studied with Jake Hanna. He has worked with various groups, including The Dukes of Dixieland, Doc Cheatham, Scott Hamilton and Bobby Gordon. He is now administrator and media director of America's Finest City Dixieland Jazz Society.
